now before i get into it i gotta say that even though this book is marketed at 18+, i personally consider it 21+ it can be very triggering for some so tread lightly. The chemistry and intensity of the romance is off the charts and so toxic but so good that it hurts. and also he's hot and she starts finding him kinda desirable on the part where I left off, but I'm going to stop you right there. Yes, there's triggers, we get it, but everyone can make their own decision on whether to read it or not and people seem extremely focused on that for a book that's been pretty open about the fact that this is not one for the faint of heart.

I do not like nor support that rapist everyone thinks is a romantic, I liked it for the writing and vibes only. I don't careee if it's just a joke or whatever, pick something else to joke about or find another way to show your appreciation for your friend, but stop treating sapphic relationships like jokes.

These scenes are so corny, I mean there’s these senators who are doing it and Z and his group are trying to hack into their society which hey? I'll preface my review by saying that I may be just a touch biased because I've been looking for this exact book (not literally, but figuratively), for MONTHS, and I cannot understand some of the reviews I've read. The author tries to make you like the stalker even though everything he does is very similar if not the same to the exact people he’s supposed to be stopping. Like maybe he becomes really great and they have a "sweet" connection at some point, but I don't care. Anyways (fml😑) this book wasn’t banned for nothing (please check all trigger warnings, although they don't justify shit in this case).

Many of Zane’s ideas to “woo” Adeline could be considered cruel, unsafe, and manipulative but I couldn’t resist their palpable attraction and the sex scenes were beyond steamy. I'm going to start out with this because I feel like otherwise it'll get lost in the end of my review and no one will care but can we please stop making sapphic relationships a joke? The main reason i am reducing one star is because the first two times they had sex, he forced himself on her. The story was so intriguing but after the famous "gun scene" my morals were like the hell and make me shut the book but after a day or two curiosity make me pick it up again and I don't know how but I read the whole book on two days and fell in love with both the characters. As a vigilante that has an entire organisation devoted to save victims of trafficking and sexual abuse as well as destroying the ones responsible and taking part in the trade. So, it was more playful and fun and even more personal, which made the chemistry much more believable. Adeline certainly feels obligated to respond the way she SHOULD, but it's important to note that she WANTS to respond to him positively rather than negatively, regardless of what society expects her to feel in such a situation. I kept seeing art of Zade but kept pushing reading this series off as I didn’t know how I’d feel about the stalker aspects of the book. Every time I see Zade the r4pist getting praised on socials it feels like an actual violation and I get more and more angry. He's just so hypocritical talking about how any guy that forces himself onto women/children deserves to go to hell and be tortured (Which is his hobby.

The 2 of them should be a bit more sexually open to accept their kinks and explore it in a safe and CONSENSUAL way. There’s a parallel story where our dark knight is also a hero chasing pedophiles, witch, u know, is a good thing! Not only is this book horribly, unnecessarily long, but it's also boring because, who wants to watch a man rape a woman in her house 3 different ways for 800 pages straight? Carlton skillfully strikes a balance between revelation and suspense, making sure that readers will be left with unanswered questions. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. She begged him to stop, talked about how it hurt, and he left her crying in a ball after he fucked her. ANYWAY, this is an excellent dark romance with a stalker and his prey, kinky play, and the undiluted adrenaline rush that comes from being both terrified by a man and also being turned on by him simultaneously.

I know this is fiction, but (1) stuff like this happens in real life, and (2) it is so harmful and has the ability to shape people's ways of thinking. My heart drops as I tear my eyes away to look around and see his eyes pinned on me from several directions, it’s the most intense feeling I’ve ever experienced. I've already established that it was rapey (it's in the TWs but it doesn't really make it any better imo). So, on top of complaining about the quality of the smut, I'm also here to complain about the quantity. And by doing so it actually hinders us from seeing real pedofiles, the people living next door that we like and so on, the teacher, the friendly guy in church, the one who doesn’t look like a predator. Overall I think it could have played up that side of things more and it would have added to the storyline hugely. Well, it kind of made me want to vomit to be completely honest because of how cheesy and absolutely cringeworthy it was. Well, that was absolutely terrible :) This book was on my radar because many of my goodreads friends (<33) who had read Her Soul to Take and Her Soul for Revenge seemed to love this one too.
