About this deal

What with Baffled being as simple a game as it is, the main element of gameplay (board spaces) are an integral part of any strategies or plays an opponent might want to try on. we liked the fact that this game is not easy, and that it provides a challenge for both adults and children. Failure to correctly identify a tile or space when asked will result in the player losing a life – depicted by reversible red and green cards. As in every year, your control over your ‘Pen’ broomstick will be your main challenge against the wind, fire, and air elements of this ever changing race course. Everyone now has one minute to look at which tiles are where and memorise as best they can, before they are re-covered and the game begins.

The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and no adult help was needed – the children were able to play independently. My almost 6 year old seemed to enjoy it, my 3 year old didn't have a clue but considering it's aimed at age 8+ there is no surprise! I really love the simplicity of this game and you can really use any small sized object in the box so it will be ideal to take away with us. Could you drop different types of tiles on the table and play a game of memorising them which would be just as fun?

We’ve been playing Baffled by Cheatwell Games- a fun, memory based board game, which is absolutely brilliant. Founded in 1986, Cheatwell Games started out producing board games but has since gained an unrivalled reputation for the design and development of innovative toys, puzzles and gifts.

You may remember where most are; but be prepared to be Baffled as the symbols constantly swap positions around the board; even when you think you know where every symbol is, you may have forgotten that it had been swapped a few turns back. For example, say you land on the apple symbol you uncover the tile you think it is, if you are incorrect you lose a life and once they are gone you're out of the game. In just 60 seconds you must memorize the position of the twelve symbol tiles… BUT prepare to be Baffled as the symbols constantly swap and change positions around the board! Each player is given a number of “life” cards at the start of the game and when they have used up all their lives they are out.

It's a fairly simple concept, however throughout the board you are instructed to switch symbol tiles making it harder to remember where they are! Baffled is a memory game aimed, according to the box, at kids of ages eight and above, but really a five-year-old could comfortably understand and play it too.My eldest was especially good at bluffing and challenging and also making up plausible answers to questions he really didn’t know the answers too. Each time you get an answer wrong you lose a life, or if you ask a question and it is answered correctly. There are three sets: numbers, animals, and fruits, each with a symbol in red, blue, yellow and green.

We’ve been testing out another new board game, kindly sent to us courtesy of Playtime PR, and we really love it so wanted to share it with you!I’m a big fan of board games so I’m really pleased that my tweens seem to have my enthusiasm for them too. As you can probably tell, there are plenty of squares around the board that are full of opportunities for you to lose lives. I remember tearing off the wrapping, only to be met with a somewhat crudely drawn elephant, and the phrase: ‘You’ll need the memory of an elephant! I really like this game, it was alot of fun to play and it's a game that changes and differs each time you play it.
